ABOUT BIASISWA SPAN
Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Air Negara (SPAN) is a technical and economic regulatory body for the water supply and sewerage services in Peninsular Malaysia and Federal Territories of Putrajaya and Labuan.
The Commission regulates all entities in the water supply and sewerage services industry including public and private water supply and sewerage services operators, water supply and sewerage contractors, permit holders and suppliers of water and sewerage products.
BIASISWA SPAN
Biasiswa SPAN provides an opportunity for outstanding Semester 2 Matriculation/Foundation students to further their studies from the Matriculation/Foundation level to First Degree level at public universities in the country. It is SPAN's dream to nurture a holistic young generation and then venture into a career to meet the needs of the country's water and sewerage regulation sector.
Biasiswa SPAN not only cover tuition fees and various allowances, but SPAN also provides development programmes that are organized and structured to hone students' leadership talents, interpersonal skills, and critical thinking in preparation before stepping into the working world.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to be absorbed as a full-time employee under SPAN after graduation.
FIELD OF STUDY
SPAN offers full scholarships from Matriculation/Foundation level to First Degree level in local public universities in the following areas of studies:
Technical
(Engineering,Quantity Surveying)
Economy/
Business
Finance/
Accounting
Information Technology/
Data Science
FINANCIAL SUPPORT COVERED
SPAN covers the following financial support starting from Matriculation/Foundation level to First Degree level in public universities in the following areas:
TUITION FEES
- Tuition fees are subject to a rate approved by the University.
ALLOWANCE
The following allowances to be provided to assist students in their university expenses
- Living
- Accommodation
- Book
- Equipment
- Thesis
- Internship
LAPTOP
- A laptop is provided once throughout the study period.
ESSENTIAL SUPPORT PROVIDED
STUDENT MONITORING
Students will be supported by a Scholar Guide to;

DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
Essential soft skills training programme provided which covers 4 key competencies;

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must meet the following application requirements:
- Malaysian citizen;
- Possess good health;
- Active in co-curricular activities.
- Did not receive any financial assistance/ scholarship from any organisation for the same level or course of study.
- Candidates must meet the following specific requirements to apply:
- Age not exceeding 19 years old (20 years old for transition students) as of 31 December 2021.
- Students must obtain a minimum CGPA of 3.50 for Matriculation/Foundation Semester 1 result.
